The MG Hector Tomahawk EV Excite 7 Seater is the entry variant of the range, priced at ₹19.49 lakh ex-showroom. It is also offered at ₹13.99 lakh under the Battery-as-a-Service programme, with battery rental charged at ₹4.9 per km. Note that this is a special introductory price applicable to limited units only.The 69.2 kWh pack drives a permanent magnet synchronous motor rated at 201.2 bhp and 310 Nm, sending drive to the front wheels. Claimed MIDC range is 517 km and MG quotes 0 to 100 kmph in 8.2 seconds. The battery uses Li-Ion LFP chemistry with CATL cells.Charging runs through a CCS2 port. A 90 kW DC charger takes the pack from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes. A 7.4 kW AC wall charger needs 12.5 hours for a 10 to 100% charge. A 3.3 kW portable cable for a 15 A socket is standard.The Excite runs a 32.5 cm touch display with a 22.3 cm multi information display, six speakers, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and the Gen AI powered voice assistant with 30 plus Hinglish commands. It gets the Desert Squadron interior in Almond Brown and Carbon Black, mono blue ambient lighting, a 6-way power adjustable driver seat, a 4-way power adjustable co-driver seat and full auto climate control with second row and third row vents.It misses the sunroof, ventilated seats, powered tailgate, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers, all of which start with the Exclusive.Safety covers 6 airbags, ESP with traction control, hill hold, ABS with EBD, brake assist, all four disc brakes, an electric parking brake with auto hold, a direct TPMS, rear parking sensors and a reverse camera. There is no ADAS on this variant, which is reserved for the Essence.Seven-seat layout gives 192 litres of boot space with all rows up, rising to 528 litres with the third row folded. Wheels are R18 dual-tone precision cut Rotor alloys on 225/55 R18 tyres.The high voltage battery carries a lifetime warranty for the first owner on private registration, becoming 8 years or 1,60,000 km on ownership change or commercial registration. Vehicle warranty is 3 years with unlimited kilometres, alongside 3 years of roadside assistance and two labour-free services.
