The 2026 Tata Punch EV is offered with two LFP battery packs using cylindrical cells. The 30 kWh pack powers the Smart 30 and Smart+ 30 and delivers 65 kW (87 bhp / 88 PS) with 154 Nm. The 40 kWh pack powers the Smart+ 40, Adventure 40, Empowered 40 and Empowered+ S 40, delivering 95 kW (127.4 bhp / 129 PS) with the same 154 Nm.
The 30 kWh Tata Punch EV has a claimed range of 375 km and the 40 kWh a claimed range of 464 km. In real-world use Tata estimates around 275 km from the 30 kWh pack and a C75 figure of approximately 355 km from the 40 kWh pack.
Both battery packs charge from 20% to 80% in approximately 26 minutes on a 65 kW DC fast charger, adding around 135 km of range in 15 minutes. On a 7.2 kW AC charger a 10% to 100% charge takes about 4.5 hours on the 30 kWh pack and about 5.3 hours on the 40 kWh pack. From a regular 15 A plug point a full charge takes about 11.9 hours and 14.8 hours respectively.
The 40 kWh variants come with a lifetime battery warranty — 15 years with unlimited kilometres. The 30 kWh variants carry an 8 year or 1,60,000 km battery warranty, whichever is earlier. The vehicle warranty is 3 years across the range.
