The 2026 Tata Tiago EV is a comprehensive update to India's most accessible electric hatchback, priced from ₹6.99 lakh to ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is also available under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme starting at ₹4.69 lakh, with a battery usage charge of ₹2.6 per km. Available in three variants — Smart, Pure+, and Creative — across two battery options: 19.2 kWh — 61 PS / 110 Nm | MIDC range: 226 km 24 kWh — 75 PS / 114 Nm | MIDC range: 285 km | 0–60 kmph in 5.7 sec A key highlight of the 2026 update is 40% faster charging — the 24 kWh pack now supports 30 kW DC fast charging, adding 100 km of range in just 18 minutes. The 24 kWh variants also come with a lifetime unlimited-km HV battery warranty for the first registered owner. The exterior is substantially refreshed with sleek LED headlamps, new DRLs, a body-coloured closed-off grille, connected LED tail-lamps, and redesigned 14-inch wheels. The 2026 Tiago EV is available with two battery options — a 19.2 kWh pack offered on the Smart 19 and Pure+ 19, and a 24 kWh pack offered on the Pure+ 24 and Creative+ 24.
The 19.2 kWh variants deliver an MIDC-claimed range of 226 km. The 24 kWh variants deliver an MIDC-claimed range of 285 km, with a real-world C75 range of approximately 205–215 km.
Both battery packs of the 2026 Tata Tiago EV support DC fast charging. On a 30 kW DC fast charger the pack charges from 10% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes, while a 20% to 80% top-up takes approximately 30 minutes — adding around 100 km of range in just 18 minutes. On a 7.2 kW AC fast charger, a 10% to 100% charge takes approximately 2.6 hours on the 19.2 kWh pack and approximately 3.5 hours on the 24 kWh pack. From a regular 15 A plug point, a 10% to 100% charge takes approximately 6.9 hours and 8.7 hours respectively. A 3.3 kW AC wall box charger is included as standard.
The 24 kWh variants — Pure+ 24 and Creative+ 24 — come with a lifetime unlimited-km HV battery warranty for the first registered owner. The 19.2 kWh variants come with an 8-year / 1.6 lakh km battery warranty.
BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) is a dual-loan financial product that lowers the upfront purchase price of the Tiago EV. Under this scheme, the Smart 19 starts at ₹4.69 lakh with a battery usage charge of ₹2.6 per km. The buyer owns both the vehicle and the battery from day one. An assured buyback option of up to 40%–60% is also available through an insurance company for ownership periods of 3–5 years.
The Pure+ 19 adds a 20.32 cm touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 4-speaker surround sound system, steering-mounted controls, HD rear-view camera, Day/Night IRVM, rear defogger, follow-me-home and approach headlamps, electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators, USB charger front C+C (65W), all 4 iToggle power windows, R14 wheel covers, and a shark fin antenna with GPS — over and above the Smart 19.
The Creative+ 24 adds LED DRLs, Lux Beam LED headlamps, R14 Hyperstyle wheels, a larger 26.03 cm HD touchscreen, 360° SVS HD camera with multiple 2D/3D views, Blind View Monitor, ESP with traction control, Hill Hold Control, cruise control, Passive Entry Passive Start, Autofold ORVM, electric tailgate release, cooled glovebox, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and washer, 6-way adjustable driver seat, front armrest with storage, rear AC vents, all-door soft-touch fabric armrest, air filter (pollen filter), rear parcel tray, and one-shot power window on the driver side.
