2. Hyryder records the largest volume gain

The Toyota Hyryder reached 2,961 registrations, up 14.3% from 2,591 in August and 27.8% from 2,316 a year earlier. Its 370-unit monthly increase was the largest absolute gain in the ranking and supplied almost all of the top 10’s 379-unit net increase.

New launch watch Kia Sorento misses the top 10 by six units

What the September ranking shows

Strong hybrid demand remained concentrated around Toyota’s two volume leaders. Hyryder’s growth more than offset the small decline in Innova Hycross, while Grand Vitara added another 107 registrations. Together, those movements pushed the top-10 total higher even though six ranked models declined month on month. The ES 350h was the separate new-base entry.

The lower half of the ranking remains small relative to the leaders. Fifth place Invicto recorded 210 units, while positions seven through ten were all below 100. Kia Sorento’s 29-unit launch result placed it close to the entry threshold, but September’s data is too early to establish its recurring demand level. Future monthly registrations will show whether it can displace one of the two Lexus models and enter the top 10.
