Maruti eVitara Registrations Fall 24% in September 2026
Maruti eVitara registrations declined 24.1% month-on-month to 1,116 units in September 2026. Alpha retained the lead, while Delta recorded the smallest decline and increased its share of the model’s volume.
Maruti eVitara registrations declined to 1,116 units in September 2026 from 1,471 in August, a reduction of 355 registrations or 24.1%. The slowdown was broad-based: Alpha, Delta and Zeta all recorded sequential declines, leaving no variant to offset the weakness elsewhere in the range.
Alpha remained the largest contributor with 420 registrations, followed by Zeta at 362 and Delta at 334. Although the ranking did not change, Delta proved relatively more resilient than the two 61 kWh variants and increased its share of e Vitara volume.
Maruti eVitara variant-wise registrations
Alpha remains the largest variant despite the biggest unit decline
Alpha led the line-up with 420 registrations and a 37.6% share in September. Its volume fell by 145 units from August, the largest absolute reduction among the three variants. Alpha accounted for 40.8% of the e Vitara’s total monthly decline, and its share eased from 38.4% to 37.6%.
Zeta records the steepest percentage fall
Zeta registrations decreased to 362 from 490, a 26.1% month-on-month decline. This was the sharpest percentage fall in the range. The variant lost 128 registrations and closed September with a 32.4% share, down from 33.3% in August.
Delta proves the most resilient and gains mix share
Delta remained the lowest-volume variant at 334 registrations, but its 19.7% decline was smaller than the drops recorded by Alpha and Zeta. As a result, Delta’s share increased from 28.3% in August to 29.9% in September, a gain of 1.6 percentage points. It contributed only 82 units, or 23.1%, to the model’s overall 355-unit decline.

The 61 kWh variants still dominate the battery mix
Alpha and Zeta, both equipped with the 61 kWh battery, combined for 782 registrations and 70.1% of September volume. Their combined registrations fell 25.9% from 1,055 in August. Delta, the sole 49 kWh version in the supplied data, contributed the remaining 29.9% and declined at a slower 19.7%.

September weakness is broad rather than isolated
The eVitara’s September result cannot be attributed to one underperforming variant because every version moved lower. Alpha retained leadership, but its scale also made it the largest source of the decline. Zeta posted the weakest percentage movement, while Delta improved its relative position without delivering outright growth.
The next monthly reading will show whether September was a temporary correction or the start of a softer trend. A recovery in the two 61 kWh variants would have the greatest effect on the total, while Delta’s stronger relative performance gives the 49 kWh version a larger role in the model mix.
