As per Tesla Club India's latest charging test on the Syros EV with 51.4 kWh battery pack, the EV charged from 10-80% in 39 minutes matching the Korean automaker's claimed figure. Syros EV reached a peak charging power of 77.32 kW at 67% state of charge. The battery uses NMC pouch cells from LG Energy Solution.

As per the test which was conducted on a 250A connector, the charging curve starts around 42 kW at 10% state of charge and climbs steadily, reaching 66.2 kW by 12% and 70.4 kW by 36%. Charging power peaks at 77.32 kW at 67% state of charge, after which it drops sharply to 49.45 kW at 71% and continues falling to a 20.8 kW trickle by 83%. The demand voltage through this window is 378V, with a peak current of around 213A. The test also recorded a 10-60% charge in 23 minutes and a 20-80% charge in 34 minutes.

What This Means for Kia Syros EV Buyers

For a real-world charging stop, the Syros EV's fastest charging window sits before the car crosses 67% state of charge, after which the rate falls off quickly. A 20-80% top-up during a highway break takes 34 minutes, a figure worth planning around. Kia also backs the Syros EV's high-voltage battery with a lifetime warranty of 15 years and unlimited kilometres for the first owner, extending to 8 years or 1,60,000 km for a second owner.
