Mahindra Launches BE 6 SPORTEQ at ₹19.45 Lakh

Mahindra has launched the BE 6 SPORTEQ, with prices starting at ₹19.45 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base 59 kWh variant. Under the Battery-as-a-Service dual loan option, the starting price drops further to ₹11.45 lakh.

The SPORTEQ now comes with 8 variants; One, Two, Three, Three+, Four, Launch Edition, FE and FE Four. The ex-showroom price for each variant is listed below.

Powertrain and Range

The BE 6 SPORTEQ comes with 3 battery pack options; 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh which use the BYD blade cells. The 70 kWh is the new addition which is also offered in XEV 9S. The rear mounted motor (RWD) offers 380 Nm and the following power and range (MIDC P1 + P2) dependent on battery capacity

• 59 kWh: 170 kW with 548 km range
• 70 kWh: 180 kW with 651 km range
• 79 kWh: 210 kW with 683 km range

All variants of SPORTEQ will offer electric power steering with variable gear ratio. Front suspension is equipped with McPherson strut i-link independent suspension and stabilizer bar whereas the rear suspension comes with a 5 link independent suspension and stabilizer bar.

Adaptive Suspension which allows the driver to choose the suspension mode of any driving mode while keeping the steering and power response of others using the "Custom Mode" is offered in Four, Launch Edition, FE and FE Four variants.

Dimensions and Design

The BE 6 SPORTEQ has the same dimensions as the outgoing BE 6 — 4,371mm in length, 1,907mm in width, and 1,627mm in height, on a 2,775mm wheelbase, with 207mm of ground clearance and 455 litres of boot space.

In the interiors. screen layout varies by variant. One, FE and FE Four continue with a connected dual-screen setup, while Two, Three, Three+, Four and Launch Edition get a connected triple-screen layout. All variants now come with a darker interior theme compared to the outgoing model.

Mahindra has also introduced 3 new colors; Ruby Velvet (SPORTEQ), Rosso Impulso (FE) and Graphite Storm (Launch Edition).

Charging

DC fast charging takes all three battery packs from 20-80% in 20 minutes, though the charger power required scales with battery size:

• 59 kWh: 140 kW charger with 400A connector
• 70 kWh: 160 kW charger with 400A connector
• 79 kWh: 180 kW charger with 400A connector

On AC, a portable 13A charger (up to 3.2 kW) is standard, while a 7.2 kW or 11.2 kW wall box charger is available as an accessory. On the wall box, 0-100% charging times range from 6 hours (59 kWh, 11.2 kW) to 11.7 hours (79 kWh, 7.2 kW).
