Hyundai, Jio-bp Integrate EV Charging Networks, Expand Access to 37,000+ Points
Hyundai Motor India and Jio-bp have partnered to integrate their EV charging networks across India. The move will take charging points accessible through the myHyundai app to more than 37,000.
Hyundai Motor India and Jio-bp have partnered to integrate their EV charging networks, giving electric vehicle users access to a larger public charging network through digital platforms.
Under the partnership, more than 7,000 Jio-bp Pulse charging points across 300-plus cities will be integrated with Hyundai's charging ecosystem. This takes the number of charging points accessible through the myHyundai app to more than 37,000 across India.
7,000+ Jio-bp Chargers Added
Jio-bp brings more than 7,000 active charging points to the partnership. The company has a presence across more than 300 cities, with several chargers located along major national highways.
Its network includes DC fast chargers ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW. Jio-bp also reports a 96% network uptime for its charging network.
| Hyundai-Jio-bp Charging Network | Details |
|---|---|
| Jio-bp charging points | 7,000+ |
| Cities covered by Jio-bp | 300+ |
| Points accessible through myHyundai | 37,000+ |
| Jio-bp DC fast-charging capacity | 60-480 kW |
| Jio-bp network uptime | 96% |
| Hyundai DC fast-charging stations | 183 |
Hyundai Chargers Will Also Be Available on Jio-bp's Platform
The integration will work in both directions.
While Jio-bp charging stations will become accessible through the myHyundai app, Hyundai's own DC fast chargers will gradually be added to the Jio-bp Pulse Charge Pro app.
Hyundai currently has 183 operational DC fast-charging stations in India and plans to expand its proprietary network to 600 stations by 2030.
Charging Access Open to EV Users Across Brands
The myHyundai app is not limited to Hyundai EV owners. According to Hyundai, EV users across brands can use the platform to discover and access the public charging points available through it.
This makes the partnership broader than a conventional automaker charging arrangement. Instead of creating a separate charging network for Hyundai customers, the companies are connecting existing infrastructure and making it accessible through their respective platforms.
What It Means for India's EV Charging Network
The partnership comes as public charging availability becomes increasingly important for EV adoption, particularly for longer-distance travel.
Jio-bp's presence along major national highways adds another useful element to the network, while its high-capacity DC chargers can support faster charging for compatible vehicles.
For Hyundai, the partnership also supports its longer-term charging infrastructure plans. The company is expanding its own DC fast-charging network while making third-party charging infrastructure accessible through its digital platform.
With 37,000-plus public charging points now accessible through myHyundai, the partnership brings two existing charging ecosystems closer together rather than creating an entirely new network. Hyundai will continue expanding its own charging infrastructure, with a target of 600 proprietary DC fast-charging stations by 2030.
