JSW Combat Interior Spied in India Ahead of December 4 Debut
Fresh spy shots reveal the India-spec JSW Combat’s dashboard, displays, steering wheel, and centre console. Here is what we know about the upcoming Jetour T2-based plug-in hybrid SUV.
The India-bound SUV will be based on the Jetour T2 and is expected to combine a rugged design with a feature-rich cabin and plug-in-hybrid powertrain.
The interior of the upcoming JSW Combat has been spotted in India for the first time, giving us an early look at the cabin of JSW Motors’ debut passenger vehicle.
The Combat will be based on the Jetour T2 sold overseas, with JSW expected to introduce branding and equipment changes for India. The latest spy pictures were shared by Pritam Suryawanshi on X.
Although reflections on the windows obscure some details, the photographs reveal the dashboard layout, steering wheel, centre console and dual-tone cabin treatment.
JSW Combat interior resembles the Jetour T2
The dashboard appears to retain the upright layout of the international-spec Jetour T2. A large, freestanding infotainment screen dominates the centre, while a separate digital instrument display sits behind the steering wheel.
The Combat could receive a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The final screen sizes and software for India have yet to be confirmed.
The four-spoke steering wheel has a flattened upper section, physical scroll wheels and additional touch-sensitive controls. Its central logo remains covered on the prototype.
The test vehicle also appears to have a short column-mounted drive selector, leaving more space on the centre console.
Dual-tone cabin with physical controls
The prototype uses a black-and-off-white interior theme. The lighter colour appears on the steering wheel, centre armrest and sections of the doors, contrasting with the black dashboard and seats.
The wide centre console incorporates:
A rotary drive-mode selector
Physical switches
Metallic trim
Storage areas
A large central armrest
The continued presence of physical controls should make frequently used vehicle functions easier to access without relying entirely on the touchscreen.
The test car appears to have black leatherette seats, although the upholstery colours and materials offered on the production version could differ.
Expected features
The complete equipment list for the JSW Combat has not been announced. However, the international Jetour T2 provides an indication of what could be offered.
Expected features include:
Powered front seats
Front-seat ventilation
Driver-seat memory
Panoramic sunroof
Wireless smartphone connectivity
Wireless charging
12-speaker Sony audio system
Powered tailgate
Ambient lighting
540-degree camera with an underbody view
Level 2 ADAS
Six airbags
JSW may alter the equipment based on the variant structure and targeted price for India.

Jetour T2 to become JSW Combat in India
The Combat will be based on the pre-facelift Jetour T2 and is expected to retain its boxy proportions and rugged design.
Changes for India could include revised headlamps, bumpers and branding. The production SUV is also expected to receive prominent Combat lettering in place of the Jetour name.
The international T2 measures 4,785mm in length with its rear-mounted spare-wheel cover, 2,006mm in width and has a 2,800mm wheelbase. It is a five-seater SUV with a claimed ground clearance of 220mm. Jetour Global specifications
Plug-in-hybrid powertrain expected
The India-spec Combat is expected to use a plug-in-hybrid system combining:
A 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine
Two electric motors
An 18.4kWh battery
A three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission
Front-wheel drive
Autocar India reports a combined output of approximately 360hp and 610Nm. The corresponding Jetour T2 configuration has a claimed electric-only range of around 90km on the NEDC cycle and a combined driving range of up to 1,100km.
These specifications remain subject to confirmation for the production JSW Combat.
Expected price and rivals
JSW Motors is reportedly considering an aggressive ₹40–50 lakh ex-showroom price range for the Combat. Autocar India
At that price, the Combat would sit above most mass-market SUVs while offering substantially more power and technology than conventional diesel models.
Its positioning could bring it into consideration against vehicles such as the:
Toyota Fortuner
MG Majestor
Skoda Kodiaq
Volkswagen Tayron
Kia Sorento
The plug-in-hybrid powertrain would give it a distinct proposition in this segment, offering short-distance electric driving alongside the flexibility of a petrol engine for longer journeys.
JSW Combat debut on December 4
The JSW Combat is scheduled to make its India debut on December 4, 2026. It will mark JSW Motors’ entry into the passenger-vehicle market as a standalone manufacturer.
The latest spy images suggest the company will retain much of the Jetour T2’s cabin rather than redesigning it extensively for India. That may help JSW introduce a well-equipped flagship quickly, but its success will depend on final pricing, localisation, after-sales support and how effectively the plug-in-hybrid system is adapted for Indian conditions.
