Tata Sierra EV to Debut on June 30 — What to Expect
Tata Motors will debut the production-spec Sierra EV on June 30, 2026. It will be the seventh model in Tata's electric line-up. Here is what we know so far.
Tata Motors will debut the production-spec Sierra EV on June 30, 2026. It will be the seventh model to join Tata's electric line-up — adding to the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV and Harrier EV.
The Sierra nameplate has a long history with Tata. The original Sierra was produced through the 1990s and holds a strong nostalgic pull for Indian car enthusiasts. The EV version was first shown in concept form at Auto Expo 2020, appeared again at Auto Expo 2023 and had its production-spec version teased in late 2025 alongside the ICE Sierra.
Where It Sits
The Sierra EV will slot between the Curvv EV and the Harrier EV in Tata's portfolio. It rides on the same acti.ev+ architecture that underpins the Harrier EV and is expected to share the Harrier EV's 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options.
RWD and AWD
Tata's Chief Commercial Officer Vivek Srivastava confirmed to Autocar India that the Sierra EV will be offered in both RWD and AWD configurations. AWD is expected to be available only with the 75 kWh battery pack.
Design

The Sierra EV gets distinct styling cues to set it apart from the ICE version. The front fascia is expected to follow Tata's established EV design language — a closed, body-colour treatment similar to what the Tiago EV carries over its ICE counterpart, where the absence of a grille opening gives the EV a cleaner, more distinct identity.
On the inside, the ICE Sierra offers a three-screen setup. The Sierra EV is expected to come with two screens instead.
Expected Price
Based on its positioning between the Curvv EV and the Harrier EV in Tata's portfolio, the Sierra EV is expected to be priced between ₹17 lakh and ₹25 lakh ex-showroom.
What We Do Not Know Yet
Pricing, variant details, charging specifications and launch timeline have not been confirmed. The June 30 event is a debut — a full launch with prices and with details on when bookings open may follow separately.
