Vahan registration data accessed by ElecTree shows two VinFast Limo Green units registered at the Vijayawada Regional Transport Office — RTO code AP16 — under the same commercial transport vehicle category as Green SM's existing fleet in Delhi-NCR. One unit was registered in May 2026 and one in June 2026. ElecTree is the first to report this news. We have reached out to Green SM for comment and is awaiting a response.

What is Green SM
Green SM — formally Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company — was founded in 2023 by VinFast and Vingroup founder Pham Nhat Vuong. It operates a fully company-owned electric fleet, unlike aggregator platforms such as Ola and Uber which rely on driver-partners with mixed vehicle brands. India is Green SM's fifth international market after Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines.
VinFast began retail vehicle sales in India in October 2025. Green SM launched its India fleet operations on June 5, 2026 — World Environment Day — deploying 1,000 VinFast Limo Green units in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. The total confirmed commercial registrations in Vahan now stand at 1,002 — 1,000 in Delhi-NCR and 2 in Vijayawada.
The Vehicle
The VinFast Limo Green is a fleet-specific derivative of the VF MPV 7 — a seven-seater fully electric SUV developed for commercial passenger transport. It uses a 60.13 kWh battery pack with an ARAI-claimed range of 517 km. The motor produces 204 HP and 280 Nm of torque. For fleet use, the top speed is governed at 80 km/h. The vehicle also gets steel wheels with wheel covers in place of alloys, fabric seats instead of leatherette, AI-powered driver monitoring, and interior and exterior cameras.
What the Data Shows
Two units in Vijayawada does not constitute a commercial launch. However the registration category — motor cab — is identical to the Delhi-NCR fleet registrations, which distinguishes these from retail purchases. The pattern is consistent with ground-level vehicle positioning ahead of formal operations.
Green SM has not made any official announcement regarding Andhra Pradesh. ElecTree has reached out to the company for comment. This article will be updated when a response is received.
