Several publications have listed VinFast fourth in September with 2,964 registrations, an 8.2% share. On analysis, ElecTree found that 2,150 of these were VinFast's self-registrations to Green SM, and not genuine demand from third party fleet operators.

We have excluded them from the top 5. The remaining 814 units, a 2.3% share, were up 3.6% from 786 units in August. On that number VinFast ranks seventh, behind BYD at 836 units and ahead of Hyundai at 792.
