Design and Features: Still a Proper Cayenne
Porsche Cayenne EV Interiors: 87 inches of Digital OLED Screens
The electric Cayenne keeps the muscular stance we love but gets a cleaner front end, slim matrix LED headlights, active aero elements on the Turbo (including a deployable rear spoiler) and a useful frunk. Inside, it’s luxury on another level – curved screens stretching across the dashboard, optional passenger display, reclining rear seats and sustainable materials throughout.
Off-road capability remains strong with available air suspension and the new Porsche Active Ride system that virtually eliminates body roll.
400 kW Charging and 640 km Range: Ready for Indian Highways?
The ~110 kWh battery supports up to 400 kW DC fast charging – meaning 10-80 % in roughly 16 minutes or nearly 300 km added during a quick chai break. Once 350+ kW chargers become common on routes like Delhi-Chandigarh or Mumbai-Pune, long-distance trips will feel almost like a regular Cayenne.
Expected India Price and Launch Timeline
Bookings are already open at Porsche Centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Pune. First customer cars are scheduled to arrive in India towards the end of 2026 or early 2027. The petrol V6, V8 and plug-in hybrid Cayennes will continue to be sold alongside the EV, so buyers still have plenty of choices.
If you want a family SUV that can smoke most supercars at the lights, carry five people in comfort and still tackle a muddy estate road on Sunday morning, Porsche just made it – and it’s electric.
