The launch of Mahindra's BEV twins a year ago created a lot of excitement not only among the EV enthusiasts but also those who had very little idea about EVs. The futuristic design glued users on social media and the unlimited features on offer were hard to ignore. Move the clock 1 year ahead and 7 months since deliveries began, the Mahindra XEV 9e and Mahindra BE6 are living up to the initial hype. Built on the INGLO platform, these SUVs combine long-range capabilities with five-star Bharat NCAP safety ratings, appealing to urban buyers. Their performance in October 2025 speaks volumes. Let us deep dive.
Overview

Mahindra sold a total of 3,874 BEV units in October 2025. The Mahindra XEV 9e continues to outperform its sibling. It sold 2,216 units (57%) compared to Mahindra BE6's 1,658 units. The extra space on offer in XEV 9e pulls the number in its favor. But overall if we calculate the revenue from these sales on ex-showroom price, it will surpass ₹1000 Cr. This aligns with the leadership's vision at Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited to be at the pole position in Revenue Market Share.
People's Choice

The preference for the bigger battery is not surprising. Over 75% units sold (2,912) were of the 79kWh variants.
In terms of specific variants, the XEV 9e Pack 3 is a clear winner by a long margin. With 1,418 units it outsold BE6 Pack 3 which sold 857 units in October 2025.
The surprising thing to note is in the middle variant; Pack2. While in XEV 9e Pack 2 the 79kWh variant is clearly preferred, the same cannot be said for BE6 Pack 2. Though close but 59kWh version just edges out compared to the 79kWh version (272 units vs 214 units)
Conclusion
Mahindra is the undisputed leader in eSUV sales in India at the moment. As mentioned in our article on Tata sales figures, Tata Harrier EV sold 1,813 units in October 2025, splitting the Mahindra twins but still 400 units shy of Mahindra XEV 9e.
