How to File Complaint on CPGRAMS against Non-Working EV Chargers at Fuel Stations
In this article we will discuss how users can file a complaint to the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) portal against non-working public chargers located at Government fuel bunks like, HPCL, IOCL and BPCL.
One of the main pain points for EV owners in India while planning a road trip in their electric vehicles is the availability of working public chargers. Though private players like Statiq, Zeon etc. are constantly adding new charging stations, their reach is limited as compared to the fuel stations which are present every few kilometers.
The Government of India launched the FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles) policy under which public chargers were installed at fuel stations. Many users complained that these chargers do not work as intended and the personnel lack proper training to rectify a dysfunctional charger.
Introducing CPGRAMS
Users who face this issue can now lodge a complaint on the CPGRAMS mobile application. Headed by the The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, the CPGRAMS portal aims to redress public grievances and introduce accountability.
Steps to File a Complaint
In 5 easy steps listed below, you can file the complaint.
- Download the CPGRAMS mobile app from Google Play or Apple App Store.
- After signup/login, click on ‘New Grievance’. Do not click on ‘New Grievance with bot’.

- Click on the checkbox and direct your grievance to the Central Government

- Under the ‘Select Ministry/Department’, search and select ‘Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas’ and click next.

- Write your grievance, detailing the location of the fuel station and the issue faced. To make the case stronger, attach a photograph of the station with location coordinates. The attachment should be in pdf format with max 2MB file size. Click on Submit

As per the guidelines, you will receive a response on the action taken within 30 days of filing.
