The new Tata Punch EV launched in February 2026, is not a mere face-lift but a tech-lift. Tata has not only changed the exterior styling but has also provided a much needed battery and powertrain upgrades. The two battery options of 30kWh (MR) and 40kWh (LR) replace the outgoing 25kWh and 35kWh. The automobile giant also announced they will be using prismatic LFP cells in the LR variant. To increase efficiency due to added battery capacity and hence weight, they have also incorporated a 6-in-1 electric powertrain which will deliver a real world range of 335-350 kilometers*. With a faster charging speed of 60kW (1.5C), users will be able to charge from 20%-80% in 26 minutes and add 135 kilometers of range in 15 minutes.
