The Tata Harrier EV concluded its first half year on sale with 9,824 units registered in 2025, establishing itself as a strong contender in India's premium electric SUV segment. Data reveals a clear buyer inclination toward higher-spec models and the larger battery pack, underscoring demand for extended range and advanced features.

The flagship Empowered variant emerged as the volume driver, accounting for 5,528 units—over 56% of total sales. Exclusively equipped with the 75 kWh battery (offering up to 627 km ARAI range), it highlights preference for premium trims with enhanced performance and tech, including Level-2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, and JBL audio.

In the Empowered lineup, AWD configurations outsold RWD with 3,111 units versus 2,417, appealing to buyers seeking all-terrain capability and quicker acceleration.

Lower volumes in base Fearless and Adventure trims (65 kWh) reflect a trend toward feature-loaded options, with the 75 kWh pack's superior real-world range (around 500+ km for RWD) proving decisive.

Tata's strategy of offering RWD and AWD on the Acti.ev platform, combined with lifetime battery warranty for the first owner, has resonated well. As the Harrier EV enters 2026 with potential updates, these insights signal sustained momentum in the ₹20-30 lakh EV bracket.
