MG Windsor EV Tops India's Electric Vehicle Sales Chart for December 2025
December 2025 EV sales: MG Windsor dominates with 3160 units, ahead of Tata Nexon EV & Mahindra's new entries XEV 9e and BE 6. Tata Harrier EV rounds top 5—full rankings from Government data.
The MG Windsor EV has claimed the top position in India's electric passenger vehicle sales for December 2025, registering 3160 units according to data from Vahan and Telangana sources. This strong performance underscores the model's appeal with its spacious design, panoramic glass roof, and flexible Battery-as-a-Service option.
Tata's Nexon EV followed closely in second place with 2424 units, maintaining its reputation as a reliable compact electric SUV. Mahindra made a notable showing with the XEV 9e securing third spot at 2020 units, highlighting the growing traction for its Born Electric lineup.
The top five was rounded out by Mahindra's BE 6 with 1627 units and Tata's Harrier EV at 1582 units, reflecting the rising demand for premium and mid-size electric SUVs.
These figures mark a positive close to 2025 for the EV segment, with diverse models from MG, Tata, and Mahindra driving volumes. As infrastructure expands and new launches loom in 2026, competition is set to intensify further.
