Škoda Epiq Unveiled Globally — Specs, Design, Features and India Outlook
Škoda officially unveiled the Epiq at its global premiere in Zurich on 19 May 2026. The brand's most affordable fully electric model comes with three variants, up to 440 km range and a drag coefficient of 0.275. Here is a full breakdown.
Škoda has officially unveiled the Epiq at a global premiere event in Zurich on 19 May 2026. The Epiq is the brand's most affordable fully electric model — positioned as the entry point to Škoda's all-electric portfolio, sitting below the Elroq and Enyaq. It is the first Škoda production model to fully adopt the Modern Solid design language, and the first to be built on the new MEB+ electric platform. Together with the upcoming Peaq, it will double Škoda's all-electric model range.
In European markets, the Epiq is priced at parity with the petrol Kamiq — approximately £25,000 in the UK and €29,000 in continental Europe. Sales begin in the second half of 2026.
Exterior

The Epiq is the first Škoda production model to fully incorporate the Modern Solid design language from the ground up. The front end is defined by slim T-shaped LED headlights framing the glossy black Tech-Deck Face — a defining visual element that will be gradually adopted across future Škoda SUV models. Vertical air intakes integrated into the front bumper, first introduced with the Vision 7S concept, are part of the new front-end layout. The side profile features a high-set shoulder line and a wide lower body, reinforced by roof rails. At the rear, slim T-shaped tail lights frame the Škoda lettering, with the rear bumper echoing the vertical air intake pattern from the front.
Aerodynamics are a key focus. The Epiq achieves a drag coefficient of 0.275 through active cooling shutters behind the front bumper that open only when required, Air Curtain channels directing airflow around the front wheels, aerodynamic wheel trims, an optimised underbody, a rear diffuser with spoiler element, and fins at the rear of the wheel arch cladding.
The Epiq measures 4,171 mm in length, 1,798 mm in width and 1,581 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,601 mm. It is available in six body colours including Timiano Green — first introduced with the Elroq. Wheels range from 17" to 19". An optional panoramic sunroof with electric sunblind is available.
Standard headlights combine daytime running lights and indicators in the T-shaped upper section with dipped and full beam in a single lower LED unit. Optional LED Matrix headlights offer 12 light segments with four adaptive modes for city, country roads, motorways and poor weather, and can be adjusted for left-hand traffic.
Interior

Inside, the Epiq follows the same Modern Solid philosophy — clean, minimalist layout with intuitive controls. Despite its compact footprint, it offers 475 litres of boot space, among the largest in its class, expandable further with the rear seats folded. A 25-litre frunk beneath the bonnet adds further storage — though Škoda notes this will be available later in production. Additional compartments in the door panels, centre armrest and glove box provide a combined storage volume of over 28 litres.
The Epiq is the first Škoda series production model to use exclusively animal-free materials. Leather upholstery is replaced by Techtona, a high-quality leather alternative. All textile seat coverings are made from 100% recycled polyester fibres. In total, the Epiq incorporates over 34 kg of recycled materials.
Four Design Selections are available across trims: Studio (black and grey, Essence trim), Loft Grey (embossed pattern with Techtona, Selection trim), Loft Mint (same as Loft Grey in Mint Green), and Suite (Suedia upholstery with Techtona in Tabora Brown). Both Loft variants and Suite come with ambient lighting as standard.
Simply Clever features include an umbrella in the driver's door, ice scraper in the tailgate, bag for charging cables, 1.5-litre bottle holders in front doors, 1.0-litre holders in rear doors, bag hooks in the boot, coat hooks on B-pillars and an Easy Open cupholder in the centre tunnel. Door-handle protection foil debuts as a new addition.
Towing capacity is 500 kg for the Epiq 35 and 40, and up to 1,200 kg for a braked trailer on the Epiq 55.
Battery and Powertrain

The Epiq is the first Škoda model on the MEB+ platform — a dedicated EV architecture for compact front-wheel-drive electric vehicles, shared with the Volkswagen ID.Polo, ID.Cross and Cupra Raval. All variants use a highly efficient permanent-magnet synchronous motor and come with 11 kW AC charging as standard.
Two battery chemistries are available across three power variants:
- The Epiq 35 uses a 38.5 kWh gross (37.5 kWh net) LFP battery with an 85 kW motor, 267 Nm torque, around 310 km range and a top speed of 150 km/h. DC charging is capped at 50 kW and charges 10%-80% in 33 minutes.
- The Epiq 40 uses the same LFP battery with a 99 kW motor, 267 Nm torque, around 310 km range and a top speed of 150 km/h. DC charging is capped at 90 kW and charges 10%-80% in 25 minutes.
- The Epiq 55 uses a 55 kWh gross (51.5 kWh net) NMC battery with a 155 kW motor, 290 Nm torque, around 440 km range, a top speed of 160 km/h and DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in 24 minute and speed capped at 105 kW..
The Epiq supports bidirectional charging — V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) for powering external devices, and V2H (Vehicle-to-Home) and V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) with a compatible wallbox. Full one-pedal driving is available in B mode with switchable regeneration intensity. The front axle uses a MacPherson layout; the rear uses a proven trailing-arm torsion beam axle. Both axles have disc brakes, with ventilated discs at the front.
Safety and ADAS

Standard across all variants: Front Assist, Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert and Exit Warning, Lane Assist, Predictive Speed Limiter, Intelligent Speed Assist, Driver Alert system with eye-tracking via a rear-view mirror camera, and Traffic Sign Recognition Online using live data from vehicles that have passed the same road section. Seven airbags are standard, including a centre airbag.
Optional via the Travel Package: Travel Assist 3.0 — the most advanced driver assistance system currently in any Škoda. It includes Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist and the ability to respond to traffic lights and bring the car to a standstill autonomously. Via the Premium Package, Travel Assist 3.0 is further enhanced with Intelligent Park Assist including Trained Parking and Remote Parking. Optional Crossroad Assist uses corner radars in the front bumper to detect cars, motorcycles, cyclists and e-scooter users approaching from the side.
Connectivity

The Epiq comes with a 13" Android-based infotainment system with updated graphics, a grid-based home screen, system-wide search and expanded personalization. Third-party apps including Spotify, YouTube and Google Maps are available natively. Wireless phone charging is available via the Tech Package.
The MyŠkoda app offers Remote Charging, Plug & Charge (after one-time Powerpass authorization), a Departure Planner for pre-conditioning the cabin, and remote Climate Control including seat and steering wheel heating. A Mobile Digital Key — enabling iPhone or Android devices to lock, unlock and start the vehicle — is planned as a future software update and will not be available at delivery.
First Edition
A limited First Edition variant will be available shortly after the main market launch, based on the Selection trim and exclusively paired with the Epiq 55 powertrain — 155 kW, 290 Nm, ~440 km range, 10-80% charge in 24 minutes. Exterior highlights include Navajo Orange accents on mirror caps, window trim, wheel cover stripes and bumper surrounds, a two-tone black roof finish, 20" exclusive alloy wheels and a First Edition tailgate badge. Inside: orange stitching on seats and dashboard, orange seatbelts, three-spoke sports steering wheel with orange stitching and First Edition badge, black headlining and sports pedal covers. Available in five exterior colors. Standard equipment includes the Convenience and Tech Packages.
What About India?
No India launch has been officially confirmed by Škoda for the Epiq. However, Škoda has an established history of platform localization for India — the European Kamiq on MQB-A0 became the Kushaq on the India-specific MQB-A0-IN derivative. The Epiq's MEB+ platform is a fundamentally different, dedicated EV architecture, making localization more complex — but not impossible, given that Škoda already has MEB battery system manufacturing and group production partnerships in India.
If Škoda follows the same localization logic it applied to the Kamiq-Kushaq transition, and positions the India Epiq at parity with the Kushaq the way the European Epiq is at parity with the Kamiq, the pricing could potentially align closer to Kushaq territory. The Kushaq currently starts at ₹11.89 lakh. Whether that is achievable for an EV with battery costs involved remains to be seen — but it is the directional benchmark Škoda's own pricing philosophy suggests.
For now, specs, pricing and launch timeline for India remain unconfirmed. We will update this page when Škoda makes an official announcement.
